A G Khan Welfare Society (AGKWS)

The A G Khan Welfare Society (AGKWS), located in the village of Barazai, Pakistan, is in the process of being established.

The A G Khan Foundation (AGKF) will partner with this organization through providing funding to support the operational and programmatic costs for educational, healthcare, and social welfare services that meet the Foundation’s mission for the Chach Valley region of Pakistan.

A G Khan Welfare Society has independent leadership from the A G Khan Foundation, and is composed of local leadership within Pakistan. The A G Khan Welfare Society has multiple functions including: 

1. To provide ongoing needs assessments with local and regional communities within the Chach Valley to determine priority for projects and services, 

2. To serve as the Pakistan-based advisory committee to the A G Khan Foundation thereby communicating operational and funding needs, 

3. To coordinate with local partners to implement the programs and services necessary to meet the local Pakistani community’s expressed needs.
