A G Khan Memorial Hospital Free Medical Camp
Funded by the A G Khan Foundation, the A G Khan Memorial Hospital (AGKMH), located in Barazai, Pakistan, launched in January 2022 under the administration of Barazai Welfare Society (BWS). This hospital currently has a dedicated staff of 8 individuals that provide routine care, with no cost to patients for medical treatment (the sole cost to patients being medication alone). Current staff include: a physician, pharmacist, OT technician, nurse, medical assistant, lab technician, receptionist, and hospital guard. When patients require critical/emergency care, they are transported to two hospitals via ambulance.
On 9/11/22, the A G Khan Memorial Hospital (AGKMH) hosted a free medical camp, from 4-10 pm. Several medical specialists from regional hospitals and private practices collaborated and volunteered their time to provide free treatment and free medication to patients. AGKF’s partner organization, Barazai Welfare Society (BWS), was instrumental in coordinating and facilitating these efforts to ensure the free medical camp ran smoothly.
Below, see a video from Dr. Tauqeer Khan, the main physician at AGKMH, during the medical camp, as he introduced some of the participating specialists (pediatrician, urologist, orthopedic specialist, general surgeon, etc.):
